Mark Zuckerberg slammed Elon Musk in a Threads post about the latter’s seriousness over their upcoming bout. The Meta boss remarked that Elon doesn’t seem serious and it’s time now to move on.

Mark had earlier proposed August 26 for the bout. However, Musk bailed out, citing MRI scans and a possible surgery. To Mark, this seemes like an excuse. He took a dig at Musk’s request for a practice bout at Mark’s Palo Alto home. ‘Train on your own,’ wrote Zuckerberg back in the chat.

In his Thread post, the Meta boss further slammed the Tesla boss. He said if Elon is actually serious about a real date for an official event, he knows how to reach out. ‘Otherwise, time to move on,’ writes Mark in frustration.

Yes, that is correct. Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk had a public back-and-forth on social media about a potential cage fight between them. The fight was sparked by a tweet from Musk in June 2023, in which he said that he was “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg responded by saying “send me location”.

The two billionaires continued to trade barbs on social media, with Musk calling Zuckerberg a “chicken” and Zuckerberg saying that Musk was “not serious” about the fight. In August 2023, Zuckerberg said that he was moving on from the fight, saying that Musk was “not serious” and that it was “time to move on”.

Musk has not responded to Zuckerberg’s latest comments, but he has continued to tease the possibility of a fight. In a recent tweet, he said that he was “still up for the fight” and that he would “beat Zuckerberg’s ass”.

It is unclear whether the fight will ever happen, but it has certainly generated a lot of publicity for both Zuckerberg and Musk. The two billionaires are known for their competitive nature, and it is possible that they are simply using the fight as a way to promote themselves. However, it is also possible that they are serious about the fight, and that it could actually happen in the future.
